Market Insights is now called Search demand, and every customer has it from 26 October 2026. Parts of the screens in this post have changed since. See Search demand for how it works today.
Enrichment can always go deeper. There is another attribute to add, another description to sharpen, another category to fill out. The hard part is not doing the work, it is knowing which work is worth doing. Effort spread evenly across the catalog rarely lands where demand is. Market Insights brings demand into the picture. It shows what buyers search for in each category, how much of that your product data can already answer, and which gaps are worth closing first, ranked by the searches behind them. Instead of guessing where to spend enrichment effort, you get a scorecard for every category and a prioritised list of what to fix.

A scorecard for every category

Open a category to see where it stands on a few headline metrics: how complete its data is, how many of the attributes that matter for this kind of product it already has, and how much of total buyer demand its data can answer. Each metric has a trend line, and a parent category rolls up the sub-categories beneath it, so you can read the catalog top-down or drill into a single branch.

The fixes worth the most searches

Switch a category to Recommendations and you get a queue of concrete actions that would raise its scores, ordered by the searches at stake. The recommendation with the most demand behind it sits at the top, because closing that gap answers the most buyers. The dashboard carries a companion widget that surfaces the five categories where your open recommendations are worth the most, so the place to start is waiting for you when you log in.

Demand, where you set up agents

The same demand data reaches the point where you decide what a category’s values should be. When you configure a classification agent, Show suggestions lists the values shoppers search for in that category, each with the demand behind it and its common synonyms. Add a value shoppers are asking for, and you are enriching towards real searches rather than a guess.

Why it matters

Product data is an investment, and Market Insights tells you where that investment pays off. By tying every gap to the demand behind it, it turns enrichment from a never-ending checklist into a ranked plan, so the next thing you enrich is the thing your buyers are most looking for.
