Your organization is the top-level account in Cernel that contains all your sites, users, products, and billing. Organization settings control team access, subscription details, and organization-wide preferences.

Accessing Organization Settings

Navigate to Settings → Organization in the sidebar.

Organization Details

Basic Information

Keep your organization name up to date—it appears on all invoices and team invitations.

Subscription & Billing

Plan Details

View your current subscription:
  • Plan Tier: Free, Starter, Professional, Enterprise
  • Billing Cycle: Monthly or Annual
  • Next Billing Date: When your next payment is due
  • Payment Method: Credit card on file

Upgrade Plan

Access more features and higher usage limits

View Invoices

Download past invoices for accounting

Token Usage

Monitor your AI generation usage:
  • Current Period Usage: Tokens used this billing cycle
  • Included Tokens: Total tokens in your plan
  • Overage: Usage beyond plan limits (billed additionally)
  • Reset Date: When usage resets (typically monthly)
Tokens measure AI usage: generating descriptions uses more tokens than classifying attributes. Complex prompts use more tokens than simple ones.

Updating Payment Method

Go to Billing Section

Navigate to Settings → Organization → Billing

Click 'Update Payment Method'

Opens secure payment form

Enter Card Details

Provide new credit card information

Save

New payment method is stored and used for future billing

Team Management

Add team members to collaborate on product enrichment:

Viewing Team Members

See all users with access to your organization:
  • Name: Team member name
  • Email: Contact email
  • Role: Admin or Member
  • Status: Active, Pending (invited but not accepted), Suspended
  • Last Active: When they last logged in

Inviting Users

Click 'Invite User'

In Organization Settings → Users

Enter Email

Provide the email address of the person you want to invite

Select Role

  • Admin: Full access (manage users, settings, billing)
  • Member: Can enrich products and view data (no settings/billing access)

Send Invitation

They receive an email with a link to join

They Accept

Once they create an account and accept, they have access
Invite team members with specific roles: Marketers as Members, IT/Management as Admins.

Members can use existing prompts but cannot create or modify organization-wide prompt templates.

Removing Users

Go to Users List

Settings → Organization → Users

Find User

Locate the user you want to remove

Click 'Remove'

Confirm removal

Access Revoked

They can no longer access the organization
Removing a user doesn’t delete their past work (enriched products, job history). It only revokes future access.

API Access

For developers integrating with Cernel:

Generating API Keys

Go to Settings → Developer → API

Navigate to API settings

Click 'Generate New Key'

Creates a new API key

Name the Key

Give it a descriptive name (e.g., “Production Integration,” “Testing”)

Copy Key

Copy the key immediately—it’s only shown once!

Store Securely

Save in password manager or environment variables
API keys have full access to your organization. Never share them publicly or commit to version control.

Revoking API Keys

If a key is compromised:
  1. Go to Settings → Developer → API
  2. Find the key in the list
  3. Click “Revoke”
  4. All requests with that key will fail immediately
  5. Generate a new key if needed

Organization Preferences

Default Settings

Configure organization-wide defaults:
  • Default Language: Language for new sites
  • Default AI Model: Which AI model to use (Gemini, GPT, Claude)
  • Timezone: For job timestamps and reporting
  • Date Format: MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY

Notifications

Control email notifications:
  • Job Completions: Email when enrichment jobs finish
  • Failures: Email when jobs encounter errors
  • Weekly Reports: Summary of enrichment activity
  • Billing Alerts: Notifications about payment issues or usage limits

Deleting Your Organization

This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All products, enrichments, users, and data will be deleted.
To delete your organization:

Go to Settings → Organization → Danger Zone

Scroll to the bottom of organization settings

Click 'Delete Organization'

Opens confirmation dialog

Type Organization Name

Confirm by typing your organization name exactly

Confirm Deletion

All data is permanently deleted within 24 hours
