  • You changed many products and want to ensure they’re current

Multi-Language Sites

For international stores, connect separate sites for each language/region: Example Setup:
Organization: GlobalFashion

Sites:
├── US Store (Shopify, English)
├── French Store (Shopify, French)
├── German Store (Shopify, German)
└── Spanish Store (Shopify, Spanish)
When enriching products, you can:
  • Target specific sites (enrich only French store)
  • Target all sites (generate content in all languages)
  • View product data per site (switch between languages)

Disconnecting a Site

To remove a site from Cernel:
1

Open Site Settings

Click on the site you want to disconnect
2

Scroll to Bottom

Find the “Disconnect Site” section
3

Click 'Disconnect'

Confirm disconnection
4

Choose Data Handling

  • Keep Products: Products remain in Cernel (read-only)
  • Delete Products: Remove all products from this site
5

Confirm

Site is disconnected
Disconnecting stops sync. For Shopify, enriched data won’t push to your store anymore. For Feed, you can still export enriched data.

Reconnecting

You can reconnect a disconnected site anytime:
  • Shopify: Re-authorize the app
  • Feed: Upload a new feed file
If you chose “Keep Products” when disconnecting, existing product data will be matched with re-imported products.

Troubleshooting

Shopify: Check if the app is still installed (Shopify Admin → Apps). Re-authorize if needed.Feed: Re-upload the feed—previous upload may have failed.Solution: Click “Reconnect” or “Retry Sync” in site settings.
Check:
  1. Is auto-sync enabled?
  2. Is the connection active?
  3. Are there errors in the sync log?
Solution: Try manual sync. If it fails, check error messages and contact support if needed.
Check:
  1. Are products published in Shopify (not draft)?
  2. Did sync complete successfully?
  3. Are you filtering products in Cernel (check if filters are active)?
Solution: Clear filters, verify products are published, and retry sync.
Issue: Accidentally connected the same store twice.Solution: Disconnect one of the duplicate sites. Choose “Delete Products” to avoid duplicates in your product list.

Best Practices

Instead of “My Shopify Store”, use “US English Store” or “BrandName EU Store”—especially helpful with multiple sites.
Set the site language to match the actual language of product content in your store. This ensures proper AI generation.
Check Sites settings weekly to ensure all sites are syncing properly. Address errors promptly to avoid stale data.
If you have multiple stores, connect and test with one before adding others. Validate that sync and enrichment work as expected.
